Leaked Galaxy F54 Renders Show Samsung Maintaining Their Unified Design Language
Since the last year, Samsung has fully shifted its focus in maintaining a consistent design language across all of its devices, be it flagship or entry level. If you’re someone who’s new to the industry, you might not even recognize the difference between a $200 A14 and a $800 Galaxy S23.
In another report that surfaced today, we got our first look at what the upcoming Galaxy F54 could potentially look like. Mind you, the F series are part of Samsung’s midrange smartphones. They are only sold exclusively in select countries and are known to be tailor-made for specific regions and their needs.
In addition to this, this line of smartphones is known to be identical to the more popular A series. For now, the report only showcases the official press renders and the color options, but even with that we can infer a lot about what the phone could bring to the table, considering how earlier the specifications for this very phone were also leaked.
It is also interesting to note that the Galaxy F54 is expected to be considerably cheaper than its counterpart, the Galaxy A54 5G, which is possible by cutting down on some features like an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. Like I mentioned earlier, this phone is specifically made keeping in mind the regions it will be sold in (for example, check out the battery size on these phones, they’re huge).
The Specifications
The Galaxy F54 is rumored to have a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a Full HD+ resolution. Unlike the Galaxy A54, the F54 is reported to have a side-mounted fingerprint reader rather than an in-display one, which may be a minor design variation that some users prefer.
The F54 is said to boast three rear-facing cameras, headlined by a 108MP OIS primary camera with the ability to record 4K videos at 30fps. Accompanying the primary camera is an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, there is a 32MP selfie camera capable of recording 4K videos at 30fps.
Under the hood, the Galaxy F54 is expected to feature the Exynos 1380 chipset, the same used in the A54, and the other midrange M54. The phone will come with 8GB of RAM and storage options of 128GB or 256GB. Powering the device is a whopping 6,000mAh battery, which should provide a great battery backup, although most people wouldn’t give a lot of attention to this, due to the stained reputation of Exynos processors.
Moving forward, in terms of connectivity, the Galaxy F54 will have 5G support, and will also come with GPS, a dual-SIM card slot, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer.
Pricing
As for the price, the Galaxy F54 is rumored to be competitively priced. It is speculated to be priced below INR 35,000 (around $340), making it an attractive option in the mid-range segment, especially considering its specifications, and how they’re similar to the A54, which comes in at $500.
While all of this is purely based on rumors, take this with a grain of salt. Till then, we will make sure to keep you updated as new information becomes available.
