How to Fix GeForce Experience Error Code 0x0003

The Error Code: 0x0003 occurs due to not having permissions to Nvidia Telemetry Container service, corrupt or outdated GPU drivers, and not running Nvidia services correctly. It can either be caused by incorrect entries in the network adapter. The error comes with the error message Something went wrong. Try rebooting your PC and then launch GeForce Experience. Error Code: 0x0003.

Below, we have described the proper details about what can cause this error.

• Nvidia Telemetry Container Does Not Have Permissions- Nvidia Telemetry Container is a service that runs in the background and has the option that allows the service to interact with the desktop. If it is unchecked, the error may occur.
• Windows is Not Compatible With GPU Drivers- Incompatible GPU drivers can also lead to this issue. You may encounter this error if you have not installed the drivers according to the Windows OS architecture.
• Nvidia Services are not Running Properly- Nvidia services are essential for the Geforce Experience to run properly. Therefore all Nvidia services should work properly to avoid errors.
• Corrupt or Outdated GPU Driver- A corrupted or outdated GPU driver can also bring this error message as Graphics Driver is required to run the Geforce Experience.  
• Incorrect Entries in Network Adapter- The error can also occur due to having an incorrect network adapter or settings. Hence, you need to reset the network adapter.

1. Clean Reinstall Graphics Driver

The corrupted and outdated driver seems to be the main factor in this error. If the driver is corrupted, the Geforce Experience will throw an error. Hence, we recommend trying a clean installation of your Graphics Driver. Below are the steps:-

1. Right-click the Start Menu and click Device Manager
   

   

2. Expand the Display Adapter Menu and right-click the driver
3. Click Uninstall Device
   

   

4. Check Delete the Driver Software For This Device
5. Then, click Uninstall
6. Now, go to your Graphics Card Manufacturer’s website
7. Choose your Graphics Card and download the driver

   

8. Once done, install the driver by running the setup
9. Restart your computer and launch the Geforce Experience to see if the error is fixed.

2. Change Geforce Experience Local Host Ports

In the program files, there is a folder called Nvidia Geforce Experience with some JS files containing Local Ports and its value. As per the affected users, the error can resolve by changing the port number. Follow the steps:-

1. First, you need to download and install the code editor. We recommend Visual Studio Code as it is easy to use
2. When installing visual studio code, check all boxes

   

3. Go to the following directory

   C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\NVIDIA GeForce Experience

4. Right-click on the screen and click Open With Code
   

   

5. Now press Ctrl + Shift + H and type LOCALHOST_PORT”,3e3
6. In the Replace box, type LOCALHOST_PORT”,60487
   

   

7. Click the Replace All
8. Then click the Retry As Admin
   

   

9. Once done, close the editor and check if the error persists.

3. Enable Allow Interact With the System to Nvidia Telemetry container

The Nvidia Telemetry container collects the system data and sends it to the Nvidia servers, but if the Nvidia Telemetry container is not able to interact with the system, the error may occur. Follow the steps to allow the service to interact with the system.

1. Type Services from Start Menu
2. Open Services Window and type N until you find the Nvidia Telemetry Container
3. Right-click on it and click Properties
   

   

4. Click Log On and select Local System Account
5. Check Allow Service to Interact With the System
6. Click Apply, then click OK
   

   

7. Once done, launch the Geforce Experience to see if the error is solved.

4. Reset the Network Adapter

If you have set incorrect Network configurations or the network adapter is corrupted. In both situations, you will encounter the Error Code: 0x0003. Therefore, try resetting the network adapter to check if the error persists.

1. To reset Network Adapter, type the command prompt from the Start Menu
2. Right-click the command prompt and choose Run As Administrator
3. Once it is launched, type the following command, then open Geforce Experience to check if it fixed the error.

   netsh winsock reset

   

5. Restart Nvidia Services

Usually, the Nvidia services run in the background to manage specific tasks related to GPU Driver and Geforce Experience. If the services are not running properly, the driver and Geforce Experience may not run properly. To avoid this, try restarting the Nvidia services:-

1. Press the Windows + R to launch Run Window
2. Type services.msc and hit Enter

   

3. Now locate the Nvidia Services and restart them one by one
4. Right-click on each service and click Properties, then change the Startup type to Automatic
   

   

5. Then, click Apply. If the service is stopped, click Start and click OK
6. Once done, check if the error is fixed.
