God Of War: Ragnarök is one of the best games on the PS5, and was one of the best game releases of 2022. Expanding on the God of War series’ Norse saga and an outstanding sequel to the impressive God of War (2018), it delivered on all fronts; narrative, gameplay and graphics.
Now, a bit over a year after its release, fans of the God of War eagerly await its release on PC. This anticipation is a result of Sony‘s official pledge of porting over their most beloved exclusives. Given that 2018’s God of War saw a PC release in early 2022, the reality of receiving one for God Of War: Ragnarök wouldn’t be too far-fetched. So the question is; when is God Of War: Ragnarök coming out on PC?

Will There Be a PC Release for God Of War: Ragnarök?
A PC release for God Of War: Ragnarök is highly likely, as Sony is now committed to porting their most demanded exclusives over to the PC platform. Usually, these PC ports are handles by third-party studios instead of the original game studios, but the original studios do help supervise and overlook the whole project.
God Of War: Ragnarök PC Release Date
As of yet, there is no official release date for God Of War: Ragnarök. However, as per PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan, Sony plans to release PlayStation exclusives on PC “two or three years” after their original release. So far, this promise has held true, with The Last of Us Remake, Marvel’s Spiderman, and Spiderman: Miles Morales receiving PC ports a few years after their original release.
When Can We Expect God Of War: Ragnarök on PC?
Given that a free DLC named God Of War Ragnarök: Valhalla was recently released, you can expect a slight delay in the PC port. Overall, by analyzing Sony’s pattern, a PC release in late 2024 or early 2025 are reasonable estimates. The PC port for God of War (2018) was handled by Jetpack Interactive and they did a fine job, with the PC version running smoothly even on older hardware.
It is also possible that the PC port for God Of War: Ragnarök is released alongside the PC port for Marvel’s Spiderman 2, as data uncovered from the Insomniac Studios breach shows plans for the PC release for Spiderman 2 in 2025.
If Sony wants to stretch things out a bit, they can release it as a compensation to PC gamers when they release the 2025 planned Venom game on the PS5. Another similar alternative alongside the Wolverine game, which is currently in development and also expected for release in 2025.
